Dear ISP Community,

Mr. Rajiv Bhat, school director, recently informed the board that on completion of his current term, which ends in June 2017, he will be relocating to the USA for personal and family reasons. On his return to the US, he will be employed in a management capacity with a staff placement firm that works with international schools. 

Mr. Bhat has led ISP during a period of considerable change. During his tenure, the school has made impressive progress in improving the whole child educational experience we provide our students, be it in core academics, the visual and performing arts, or in sports. We thank him for his contribution to these developments and look forward to his continued leadership in SY 2016-2017 in continuing the implementation of the new strategic plan. 

Mr. Bhat has this to say about his time here:

“To have served for five years at ISP in such an outstanding community is and forever will be a privilege that I will cherish. We are beyond doubt the best school in Panama and well on our way to establishing a fine international reputation. 

And so I remain immensely excited about next year. Thanks to the community’s engagement, we are moving rapidly along the path set in the strategic plan, and I look forward to building on that momentum in SY 2016-2017.” 

The search for a new director, who will be placed in July 2017, will be led by the board and will commence in August 2016. Community engagement will be integrated into the search process. The time frame allows more than adequate time to identify the right successor to carry forward the vision embodied in the strategic plan to make ISP amongst the leading international schools in the world.
