Policy
A
student admitted to The International School of Panama (ISP) must demonstrate
the capability to benefit from the education offered at ISP and to maintain
satisfactory progress in a college preparatory academic program. Admission to
ISP is open to students of any race, religion or nationality. However, in order
to maintain the international character of the ISP no single nationality shall
represent a majority of the student body or a specific grade level.
A
student admitted to ISP must demonstrate proficiency in the English language or
the potential for becoming proficient. A non-English speaking student admitted
to ISP will be admitted conditionally and will participate in the ESL (English
as a Second Language) program. A student in the ESL program should not remain in
the program for more than two years, after which time the student should be able
to perform under the regular curriculum.
The parent or guardian must be able to meet the financial obligations to the school. An application form must be filled out accurately and will be considered complete when previous records are received.
