IB Visual Art

Course Description

Grade (s): 11-12                Level: IB SL or HL                   Credit (s): 2 in Fine and Applied Arts

Prerequisite (s): Studio Art I

 

The IB Visual Arts course is a two year advanced art course that encourages individual experimentation and exploration in the visual arts. Students are expected to demonstrate an inquiring attitude towards a variety of
visual phenomena, and explore the relationship between the visual arts and social, political and cultural history. Students are expected to be persistent in their research and regular studio work.
 

IB Diploma and Certificate Candidates will present a portfolio of their art work with supporting research in their investigation workbook at the end of the second year.
