The International School of Panama recently introduced a new Wireless Network (WIFI) on campus. This is also known as a WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network). ISP is currently the only K-12 School in Panama to offer this new innovative technology.
Students now have the capability and freedom to conduct research on the internet, print, or access
student folders on the school network from practically anywhere on campus right from their wireless-ready laptops or PDA's.

The ISP Wireless Network gives students, teachers and guests more freedom and mobility which allows them to work more comfortably and efficiently. Our wireless network is also compatible with many other wireless devices such as PDA's and cell phones.

The ISP wireless network is based on a 2.4 GHz. Wireless-G technology which makes compatibility and configuration relatively transparent. This new system also incorporates our existing network user policies. Users are issued a security key which allow them access the system as well as allow our technology department to monitor the system usage. Our wireless architecture and design allows students to move freely throughout the campus without losing their network connection. This is done by bridging the various "HotSpots" located throughout the campus in order to create 1 unified network connection.
