Message from the ISP-PTA President

My name is Maria Mercedes de la Garza, everyone knows me as Mercha. I am honored to be President of PTA for 2004-2005 school year.

We will strive to provide activities to support and enhance our children’s education and lives, thereby creating a strong community. Educating our children about the dangers of substance abuse and supporting healthy life styles is a high priority.

We hope to encourage and facilitate close liaison between parents, staff and the school as well as to ensure opportunities for greater numbers and diversity in our volunteer base and in attendance at meetings.

Fund raising activities play an important part, but getting new ideas and feedback is the only way to make improvements.  All future plans and happenings will be posted on the ISP website (www.isp.edu.pa), please make time to visit.

A newsletter will be sent out very soon for your information and the date for our first general meeting.

Please do not hesitate to contact any of us for questions or suggestions you may have, a list of members of the PTA board is available on the website.

And last but not least, I like to say that it is only by working together that we can achieve our goals and build a stronger International Community, remember it is your school and your PTA.

We have a fantastic PTA board to accomplish all our task, we are full of energy, come join us and give us your great ideas, together we can make ISP the best school in Panama

In my name and all the members of the PTA board I would like to thank all of you who support us.

Maria Mercedes de la Garza

PTA President
