1.
Resume Drug Awareness Month
The PTA has
already giving out oranges, ribbons and T-shirts
Re-drug awareness month.
All children P-k –12th Grade must wear the T-shirt this
Friday24th sept and Thursday 30th sept.
2.
Spanish Book Fair
The
Principals of E.S,M.S&H.S have been told to send out a memo to all parents
re the book sale.
All the books are in Spanish.
Monica Baker to get change for the cash box.
All PTA members to help.
No credit will be allowed, if children purchase books and do not
have the money the books will be kept for 2 days at the front
office until payment is made, if there is no payment the books will be
returned to the supplier.
3.
Fundraising BBQ
The red
T-shirt must be worn by all children.
The lunch will include a chicken kebab, juice and a healthy cookie.
The cost will be $2:50 an idea was to get the cookies from The Casa
Esperanza.
4.
Christmas Fare
We need to get
in touch with artisans to sell their goods at the fare.
We need a volunteer to be in charge of the craft mornings which will take
place every Tuesday morning at Mercha’s house.
5.
Open
topic
A speaker
will be organized to go to the school this coming Monday 27th
September to give a talk to conclude the month of healthy living.
We need to have a PTA corner in the weekly circular that goes home on
Fridays so the parents know about up coming PTA events.
The topic of the power failure at school was brought up and the fact that
all student who were using computers at the time lost all there
information!!!!
Next meeting 12th October at Connie Shyne’s house.
At this meeting we will be planning activities for Halloween.
