Seniors Complete IB Exams

At ISP our seniors finish school on the Friday before May 1st, but that is just the beginning of the end.  They still have to slog through three weeks of IB exams.  85 seniors sat a combined total of 63 exams over 14 days  (including a government declared holiday).  Of course, not every student sat every exam, the most a full IB diploma student would have to take would be 15 if they ended up with three HLs that had three papers, plus their 3 SLs with two each. In any event, it is a brutal process requiring students to accumulate all of their learning over two years into a ninety minute exam, and then turn around and do it again one hour later.

Each exam is converted into a score out of 7, and then the student receives a total score for all exams and the Internal Assessment for each class out of 7.  The highest one can possibly score is a 42, plus 3 bonus points for TOK and Extended Essay for a total of 45.  Below are our IB Chemistry students for both SL and HL moments before they take their last exam.  See if you can figure out what sign they are flashing...
