The Middle School STEM lab is buzzing as our 7th grade and 8th grade students engage with new technology. In the 7th grade, students are learning to work with VexIQ Robotics, and are working on building robots to perform tasks that simulate real-world scenarios. Students will go through the engineering design process to modify the robots to perform authentic tasks using Block programming.
In the 8th grade, students have the opportunity to assemble a Raspberry Pi motherboard and make a small computer. They will learn basic programming skills with Scratch and Python to program a device to run a useful digital tool for their learning.
