MAP Postponed Until Fall
MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) is an adaptive, standardized test that is used by ISP to measure student growth (grades 1-10) and to benchmark against other schools across the globe. It is important to our community that we have accurate data and NWEA, the company that produces the MAP test, provides stringent protocols on the administration and process of conducting MAP sessions. Considering our current online environment, it has been decided to suspend the administration of the MAP testing until fall 2020. Under current circumstances, we are unable to adhere to the rigors of the administration protocols as outlined by the NWEA. ISP will still be able to measure student growth using the fall data examining a complete academic year. Also, our current practice as a school has been to use classroom-based final exams, projects, and other assessments in helping to determine student performance and this practice will continue.
