From the Director's Desk:

January calendar

With two and a half weeks remaining of this calendar year, I want to look ahead to January. We have developed our calendar based on our best understanding of what our school can support during the visit by the Pope. We know this is an exceptional visit but we have exceptional staff who are ready to continue learning in all circumstances.

We are working with embassies and government organizations to keep ourselves informed.  We will communicate with families as and when needs arise. At this time, we just want to share that we will be running our calendar as planned.

We are expecting all children to be at school and teaching and learning is planned to continue as normal.

Should for any reason school need to be closed due to matters out of our control, we will make lessons available online and ensure that our students have all material needed at their disposal. You will be updated should we hear anything contrary to what is being communicated here.

Shrek

So many wonderful things happen each day at ISP and the performance of Shrek was another reason to celebrate!

Over 90 of our MS and HS students performed under the tutelage of our extraordinary teachers and staff. I want to thank the many hands that made this happen once again, the lights, the set, the sound, the musicians, the actors, the singers, the dancers, the cleaners, the parents, the audience.

The arts enable us to discover sides of ourselves that are transformative. I love this quote by the writer Thomas Merton which says it so much better:

Art enables us to lose ourselves and find ourselves at the same time.

Thank you once again to all who gave us the chance to find something new and to enable us to be transformed and lost in the present moment.

Director’s Breakfast- Communication

This will be hosted on December 4th in the ES Conference room from 8-9.30am.

The topic will be Communication. We will be looking at the various ways ISP communicates with its parent body and seek feedback on our processes and update you on others.

As we all know everything stands and falls with the way we communicate and we are trying to do the very best we can to ensure you are well informed.

At the end of the session, there will be an opportunity for questions and comments. I look forward to seeing many of you there. Please RSVP on Sangha or via email to ispcommunications@isp.edu.pa
