The International School of Panama and BioMuseo/Fundacion Amador have formed a partnership to provide students with the opportunity to participate in a BioMuseo internship. As a Friend of ISP’s AdvancED STEM Certified Program, the BioMuseo trains five ISP students as docents helping broaden their knowledge of the biodiversity of Panama. As part of their internship, students become docents leading student tours of the BioMuseo, helping inspire young Panamanians to discover their passion for STEM. Each student will then use their scientific, technological, engineering, and mathematics skills to design an individual project based on their new knowledge. These projects may become part of the Biomuseo exhibits or they may build something at ISP or elsewhere in the local community. They may become part of environmental education programs. In addition, student projects may be used to fulfill their IB CAS requirements.
