ESports Rocket League

 

Rocket League is a fantastic sport-based video game. It's soccer, but with rocket-powered cars. It features a competitive game mode based on teamwork and outmaneuvering opponents. Players work with their team to advance the ball down the field, and score goals in their opponents' net. Join us as we develop the school Esports team and achieve Esports glory!!!

Requirements: Gaming PC (Windows), Nintendo switch, PS4 or  Xbox, Headset with microphone, copy of the game Rocket league.

VEX Robotics

VEX IQ robotics is a competitive robotic building, programming and competition team designed for middle school students. Students compete in small teams to design, build and program a robot to compete against other VEX IQ teams. Currently, due to COVID restrictions, ISP will be using a virtual robotics environment to work on robotics programming skills, with the hope that we will be able to do more hands-on building activities in the near future.

Grade: 6th to 9th

ISP Cinema

This semester we will be focusing on learning more about film around the world. Each week we will learn film techniques (lighting, sound, cinematography, set design, etc) and unique characteristics from different types of film. For example we will be learning about German expressionism, Italian neorealism, Japanese Master Directors, and others. Each week we will have a movie to watch and discuss, and the student will have to make their own short film using the techniques learned on the week. For the last couple of weeks of the semester, we will be working on a screenplay all together, and each student will be the director of their own version of the film we wrote together.

Making The Beat

 

Making the beat will be focusing on learning different music production techniques, analyzing different music genres and the ability to be creative with different software. You do not need to have experience with Audio Making the beat will be focusing on giving the students basic knowledge about beat making, from Pop, Hiphop, Funk, Reggaeton to their own creations. In this edition of making the beat we will be making music in Garageband with iPads & iPhones. Let your creativity overflow and Joins us to start Making the Beat.
