Track and Field
This is an introductory track and field option for students interested in health, sport and fitness. Students will learn about running style and be introduced to the various aspects of track and field. Although this is an individual sport, student athletes are expected to collaborate as a team and maintain a positive sportsmanship at all times.
This is a non-competitive group for students interested in competing in formal track and field competitions in the future. Student athletes and parents are encouraged to read the Athletic Handbook for more information on the athletics program at ISP.
Varsity track and field is intended for student athletes who have prior experience in track and field competitions or who have a passion to train and compete. Varsity track and field focuses on applying technical, tactical, physical and psychological principles within the different running, jumping and throwing events included in the AASCA competition. Although this is an individual sport, student athletes are expected to collaborate as a team and maintain a positive sportsmanship at all times. Student Athletes are encouraged to compete in local federation meets as well as in the inter-school competitions within Panama.
